A perfect Friday put both UNI Virtuosi Racing cars on the front row on home turf for the FIA F2 Feature Race, with Guanyu Zhou securing his first pole position and Luca Ghiotto closely following in second by two tenths.
The race start brought side by side action from the teammates, with Ghiotto edging ahead of Zhou into turn 3 and never looking back. Despite a safety car period closing the gap and a lock-up after his pit stop where he briefly ceded first place, Ghiotto was able to reclaim the top spot when the tyres came up to temperature and put a 5 second gap between himself and the chasing rivals, clinching his first FIA F2 Feature Race win.
Guanyu Zhou finished in third position, giving UNI Virtuosi Racing a double podium and an almost perfect conversion of their qualifying performance.
UNI Virtuosi Racing head onto the next round in Hungary second in the FIA F2 Teams championship. Luca Ghiotto and Guanyu Zhou hold third and sixth respectively in the Driver's title chase.
